A Master’s Degree in Theatre Direction led Jessie Frost to work experience in London’s theatres, the BBC Drama Department and consequently Nina Gold’s casting office.
Jessie Frost began in Jina Jay’s casting office in 2010. Exposed to wonderful projects set the pathway ahead. Working on projects such as “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” to “The Lobster”. Frost and Jay co-cast the 2019 Palme d’Or nominated “Little Joe” for Jessica Hausner which won Emily Beecham the best actress award at Cannes and “Borg vs McEnroe” (Shia Labeouf) for Janus Metz. Recently Frost cast the 2023 Fipresci Cannes winner “The Settlers” for first time Chilean filmmaker Felipe Galvez and did the UK Casting for the Palme d’Or winning “Triangle of Sadness” for Ruben Ostlund. Frost has also recently worked with writer / director Susannah Grant on Netflix feature “Lonely Planet” starring Laura Dern and on a BBC/BFI debut feature “The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford” starring Peter Mullan. Frost just wrapped casting on “Marching Powder” for writer/director Nick Love. A companion piece to “The Football Factory”.
Frost is inspired by the brilliant London theatre scene and loves to work on British and European Films. Stories rooted to their characters.
