Biography

Kristina Erdely CDG CSA is a London-based casting director with 30 years of experience across film, television, and theatre. Beginning her career as an actor and theatre producer, Kristina’s passion for storytelling and her eye for emerging talent led her into casting for international features and high-end television. An advocate for equality both in front of and behind the camera, Kristina is committed to championing inclusive productions and diverse storytelling that authentically reflects the world we live in. She continues to collaborate with acclaimed directors and rising filmmakers alike, bringing instinct, empathy, and precision to every project. Kristina’s most recent credits include Anne Frederikke’s debut feature Let It Come Down; Brady Corbet’s BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning The Brutalist; and The Actor, directed by Duke Johnson (Neon), starring Toby Jones, Joe Cole, Tracey Ullman, and Gemma Chan. Her television work includes David Fincher’s award-winning Love, Death and Robots (Netflix) — for which she received an Artios Award nomination for Best Casting — as well as The Royals (NBC/Lionsgate), Blood Drive (Syfy, US), and The Drowning (Channel 5/All3Media). Her short-form project Toni_with_An_I was BAFTA-nominated in 2020. Her feature credits include the award-winning Eaten by Lions (dir. Jason Wingard), winner of Best Comedy Film at the National Film Awards (currently on Netflix); In Another Life (also dir. Jason Wingard), recipient of the BIFA Discovery Award and Best Film at Raindance; and Jupiter’s Moon (dir. Kornél Mundruczó – Pieces of a Woman, White God), which competed for the Palme d’Or at Cannes. Other notable films include Oh, Ramona (Netflix Original, dir. Cristina Jacob), Gutterdämmerung featuring Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, and Kevin Eldon, and The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared for Disney. Kristina is a voting member of BAFTA and BIFA, a proud member of the Casting Directors’ Guild (CDG) and Casting Society (CSA)
