The Committee

The Committee are elected by the membership and each serve two years.  Each Committee member is assigned an area to look after and support.

Victor Jenkins

Victor Jenkins

Victor is Chair and Treasurer, and also looks after our TV members.  He is the spokesperson for our relationship with PMA. He has been in casting since 2003 and was co-founder of VHJ Casting (2010 – 2016). In 2017 he set up his solo venture, VJC. Credits include award winning shows Broadchurch, Humans, Unforgotten, Fleabag, and The Wrong Mans, and most recently he has been working on the Netflix/BBC show Troy: Fall Of A City, ITV’s Clean break, and US series The Rook.

Wendy Spon

Wendy Spon

Wendy is Vice Chair and looks after our theatre members. She was Head of Casting at the National Theatre for over 10 years. Her casting career spans twenty five years and includes periods at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Crucible Theatre and a variety of freelance theatre, TV & film work.

Kate Ringsell

Kate looks after the interests of our TV and Film members and is also the spokesperson for our relationship with Equity.
She has been in casting for fifteen years, setting up on her own in 2015. Credits include the forthcoming ‘Tolkien’, ‘The Lost City of Z’, ‘Justice League’, ‘My Dinner with Herve’ and ‘Sense8’.

 

Priscilla John

Priscilla John

Priscilla looks after the interests of our Film members and also is the spokesperson for our relationship with PACT and the PMA. Priscilla’s career started at Granada TV casting iconic dramas such as Jewel In the Crown which led to casting David Lean’s A Passage To India. Her work includes blockbusters such as Captain America: The First Avenger, Pirates of the Caribbean II and III & Mamma Mia! to cult classics A Fish Called Wanda & Distant Voices, Still Lives. Most recently completed Features, Red Sparrow for 20th Century Fox, Red Joan for Lionsgate, The Turning for Amblin and TV Drama series Safe for Netflix , and Krypton for Warner Brothers/Syfy.

Sam Stevenson

Sam looks after our theatre members and social media. She began her career in casting in 1996 and works across a broad range of theatre, film and television projects.

Sophie Parrott

Sophie Parrott

Sophie looks after our probationary members, is our diversity liaison and also looks after our social media. She has worked in the industry for over a decade and specialises in casting for theatre and television.

Sophie was also involved in the development of ‘The Company’ talent pool whilst in-house at BBC Casting, which is ‘a BBC initiative looking to both increase the level of disabled people on television and to help develop the careers of individual talented actors that struggle in an industry has frequently excluded them.’

She is currently casting Series 9 of Call The Midwife for Neal Street Productions’
