Originally from Sligo on the West Coast of Ireland, Ruth began her career at the Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. On moving to London, Ruth worked at the Bush and National Theatres. Ruth has cast extensively for Stage and was Resident Casting Director at the Unicorn Theatre. Ruth was also Associate to Anne McNulty, casting productions for the Michael Grandage Company, Almeida Theatre, Manchester International Festival, Ambassador Theatre Group and Sonia Friedman Productions.

Ruth currently works with Des Hamilton on projects for TV and Film. Other recent work includes the series “The Gold” (BBC/Paramount+), feature films “The Governesses” (A24) and “Dance First” (Sky Arts) with Olivia Scott-Webb. Ruth has previously worked with Nanw Rowlands, Lucy Rands and Shaheen Baig.

Ruth is a mentor to the National Youth Theatre Rep Company, and has previously mentored on the Roundhouse Creative Leadership Programme.
